Eco-Arte Eco-Arte is an environmental art project that aims to build the capacity and motivation of youth to share their knowledge of the environment by teaching them to use art to stimulate environmental awareness and action. The project seeks to motivate participation of the population in the provinces of Cercado, Avilés and Mendez in the department of Tarija, Bolivia in effective waste management and reforestation practices through environmental art fairs hosted by participating youth.Combing the talents of two painters and an actor with the skills of Arbolando staff we provided art classes with an environmental focus in 3 provinces:
The youth exhibited their paintings in art exhibitions in their schools, and communities and at public and cultural events. They performed forum theatre at a city wide event and in small communities. Through painting and theatre the youth succeeded in provoking critical thinking and action around the environment in the department of Tarija.
